SYMPOSIUMS

Symposiums are a form of discussion between a number of experts in a field and are led by a moderator. The Palm Springs Photo Festival presents an important symposium for all attendees each day. We organize the programs to include the important and influential panelists from throughout the country to come together and discuss issues of great interest / importance to emerging and professional photographers. All Attendees are invited to attend these important discussions each day. All four Symposiums are FREE to festival attendees. Presentations will be daily from 5:00 – 6:30pm.

This year we’re going to be looking at making money for photographers: How has the game changed? How can we adapt? How can we plan for the future? How can we find alternative financing for our personal projects? How can fine art be a viable option? How are young photographers getting started? Are they making a living?

Canon Presents: THE BUSINESS OF FINE ART. Featuring a panel of museum curators and gallery directors, this important symposium sheds light into the dark corners of the fine art photography business.
