Leica Camera invites you to a complimentary seminar on the famed M-System rangefinder cameras. Discover the art of capturing life’s most fleeting, natural and authentic moments with Leica Specialist Justin Stailey. With over five decades of continuous improvement and innovation, the Leica M-System has opened new horizons for documentary photographers and photojournalists including Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Capa. Learn about the unique aspects of rangefinder photography and witness how the Leica M-System allows photographers to transform from disconnected observers to dynamic participants in the action by manually framing the desired scene, mood or special moment.
Leica will have a selection of cameras to experiment with at the Leica Sponsor Suite at Korakia and at the Sponsor Headquarters in the HYATT throughout the duration of the festival.

JUSTIN STAILEY

Justin Stailey has been invaluable on Leica’s team as an authority on Leica Camera’s history and its various product categories. With strong interpersonal & improvisational skills coupled with an extensive background in the photographic industry, Mr. Stailey has forged relationships with the top shooters in the field, representing publications such as Sports Illustrated, LIFE, National Geographic, Newsweek and TIME. Photographers have depended on Mr. Stailey’s remarkable knowledge to overcome obstacles in the field and help adapt their shooting skills to rapidly emerging visual technologies.
He has also developed a wide following as an educator to the basic consumer as well as the advanced professional. His technical background from Rochester Institute of Technology combined with his considerable field experience makes him a highly regarded lecturer and instructor at some of the most prestigious workshop programs in the industry.
Mr. Stailey has become known throughout the industry as the “go to” person for all aspects of photographic solutions involving cameras, lighting, grip and remote technologies. Known as a bit of a “MacGyver,” he has an ability to synthesize disparate elements of these various photographic areas into a cohesive approach that make him an indispensable field resource and valuable representative of the Leica Camera, Inc.
